Roof insulation starts during roof installation. Underlay insulation or sisalation is used in place of normal underlay membrane or plastic. It is usually installed in between roof trusses and battens in case of a concrete tile roof or metal Harvey tiles. In case of sheeted roof the insulation is installed on top of the purlins underneath the metal sheets.
