Brief info

Mr. Thabo Setidisho owns and runs Terrain Earth Projects, which he registered in 2011. He is a University of Johannesburg (formally Technikon Witwatersrand) graduate with a National Diploma in Civil Engineering. He also has a software design certificate for prefabricated timber roof trusses from Mitek SA, where he worked briefly as a Junior Technician in the Engineering Department.

The programs are MI2000 intermediate programme, a dos based software programme and 2020 windows base programme, basic and intermediate. He was previously employed by truss manufacturing truss plant based in Chamdor, Krugersdorp as an Estimator/Designer, and was soon in charge of factory production of roof trusses and logistics. He joined the company in September 2004, at the time the monthly turnover of the company was just above R400 000.00. At the end of 2004 the monthly turnover had more than doubled to over R1 000 000.00. He pioneered the turnaround in sales by adding of one sales representative and asked management to promote one of the office assistant into a sales representative to total 3 sales representative. In 2006 growth overwhelmed working space, factory staffed had doubled, sales hit the R1 500 000.00 mark and new premises where acquired and we had to relocate. The resultant growth require another office assistant in accounts which we acquired the services of such an assistant.

Thabo Setidisho has more experience also in the soil testing laboratory environment. He worked at the University of Johannesburg (formerly Technikon Witwatersrand) soil laboratory, and at the department of public works in the North West. It was during his training at the department of public works that he also worked as field technician on road constructions. His duties there included land surveying, bulk road layer works and asphalt layer paving. He tested a lot of soil samples for layer works at the department of public works soil testing laboratory. It was at the Civil Engineering soil testing laboratory of the University of Johannesburg (formerly Technikon Witwatersrand) that he got his hands dirty. He worked extensively on soil samples for layer works, foundations and concrete samples. As a Civil Engineering Technician he also worked for ABCON (PTY) ltd. during the construction of the department of Civil Engineering for the University of Johannesburg (formerly Technikon Witwatersrand at Doornfontein Campus. His responsibilities included surveying site for setting out, setting out levels for construction work and supervision of the work force and subcontractors.
